Have you recently gone through a job application process? Take part in the survey “candidate experience and its impact on applicants and the organisation”

On a daily basis organisation face problems due to a tight labour market. That is why it is more important than ever for them to focus on candidates’ experiences and what the application process elicits.

The concept of “candidate experience” refers to the overall attitude a candidate has towards an organisation after going through their application process.

Under the supervision of Professor Rein De Cooman (photo), a university in Belgium (KU Leuven), runs a study on the impact of candidate experience on applicants and employers. The aim of this research is to get insight into candidate experience and identify the impact this has on candidate’s behaviour. The survey can be completed in March and April 2022. The research is anonymous; completed data cannot be traced back to the participant and are merely gathered for scientific purposes.

Do you want to participate in this research project?

Everyone who has gone through one or several job application processes in the last 6 months can participate if the following conditions are met:

  • Has gone through the application process in the last 6 months regardless of whether you got the job or not
  • The procedure ended with a decision, i.e. job accepted, job rejected, ended up in the reserve pool or you yourself left the application process.

What are the benefits for you as an applicant?

  • You will contribute to research that tries to improve the experience of applicants
  • You receive a summary of the general findings of the study
